Hello and welcome to the third edition of News from Northside.

I am excited to once again share with you a roundup of some of the things that have been happening at Northside over the last six months. The entire team has been working incredibly hard to support children, young people, older citizens, and many other members of the Canberra community during this time.

Our Youth Engagement Programs have stepped up this year, offering a range of events and activities including a twice-weekly Drop-In. Our new Care Finder program is helping older citizens navigate the complexities of the aged care system. Our Early Childhood Centre teams are engaging in vital professional development on trauma-informed practice and the new learning framework for the early years.

We acknowledged National Reconciliation Week in such an important year for the country as we all prepare to vote in the referendum in a few months’ time. I was particularly excited that we launched our new Reconciliation Action Plan at this time.
