News From Northside
This is the fourth issue of our new series – News from Northside publication that will be published twice a year sharing stories of practice from across the Northside team.
Hello and welcome to the fourth edition of News from Northside.
I am very excited to share the fourth issue of our “News from Northside” publication! This is the fourth in a series that we publish biannually, sharing stories of practice from across the Northside team.
Over the last six months, our Social Groups have been buzzing with various outings and activities, showcasing the popularity of our “Learning Through the Ages” program and a thriving craft group that has produced some fantastic knitted and crocheted creations. Additionally, the introduction of the Active Ageing program has successfully encouraged older citizens to embrace an active lifestyle through a simple exercise regime.
Our Case Management team continues to excel, offering crucial support to women and children affected by domestic and family violence. In October, we established a consumer advisory body to enhance the services provided to our Northside clients.
Despite the Voice to Parliament referendum not yielding the results we hoped for, our commitment to promoting Indigenous rights and recognition remains unwavering, and our efforts will persist.
I hope you enjoy this wrap-up of another exciting six months at Northside.
Take care,
Beryl Tsao
