Program Introduction

This is a fun interactive 8-week program that will explore ways to understand how we see and feel about ourselves, figure out what’s important to us, find ways to become stronger after things don’t go to plan, and figure out how our friends and family influence the way we feel.

This program involves a mix of classroom learning with weekly activities and play-based games.

Overall, the aim is to help you learn more about yourself, understand what might hold you back, and grow in confidence.

Target Group

Year 7 and 8, female identifying.

The kind of students that this course is designed to benefit the most are those struggling with low self-esteem.

Course Specifics

  • Week 1: Introduction to Self-Esteem
  • Week 2: Understanding Self Talk
  • Week 3: Exploring Strengths and Values
  • Week 4: Failures and Setbacks
  • Week 5: Relationships
  • Week 6: Communication
  • Week 7: Reflection and Goal Setting
  • Week 8: End of program celebration

The course is delivered by two members from our youth engagement team.

The course run time is 1x 90min session per week.

The ideal number of students for the course is no more than 10.

This course is delivered on site at high schools, during school hours.
