Legal Aid ACT and Northside Community Service are teaming up to provide regular, free information sessions on a variety of legal topics.

Community Legal Connect

Legal Aid and Northside Community Service will be co-hosting regular free information sessions to the community on a range of issues, including criminal law, family law, and civil matters such as debt, employment, immigration and tenancy.

Legal Aid ACT helps people in the Australian Capital Territory with their legal problems. Our Mission is to promote a just society in the ACT. We offer free and confidential legal information.

If you are needing specific legal advice in relation to your circumstances, you can contact Legal Aid’s Helpline on 1300 654 314. If your issue is a non-legal matter, our lawyers can connect you with non-legal support or connect you to other organizations.

Migration – Protection Visa Information Session

Legal Aid and Northside Community Service are co-hosting an information session on Tuesday 5 November 2024.

For our very first session, Legal Aid will be presenting on Protection Visas subclass 866. If you believe this may be relevant to you to you, or you know someone who could benefit from applying, this information session may be for you!

The 1.5-hour information session will provide you with initial advice on eligibility, the process and documentation required to apply for this visa. There will also be time for some questions and answers. If you are seeking specific legal advice, please contact our Helpline on 1300 654 314.
