Policies and Procedures

At Northside Community Service (Northside) we are committed to robust governance and operation of our Early Education services. Northside’s team is committed to maintaining the highest standards of integrity and leadership across all areas of service delivery, management and governance within the organisation. This helps to ensure Northside remains effective, open and accountable to its communities of interest.

Northside Early Childhood Centres operate under the National Quality Framework. We are strongly committed to continuous improvement to ensure the best possible outcomes for young children and their families and utilise contemporary research and knowledge about how young children learn and develop to provide a modern perspective on Early Learning. As well as supporting fundamental learning around literacy and numeracy, Northside staff work closely with each child and family to support the important skills and competencies they will need for life-long learning: self-regulation, resilience and independence.

Northside staff members work together to meet the highest standard of children’s health and safety, including regular training on all Educators’ Mandatory Reporting responsibilities in the ACT. We have a robust internal process to ensure that all Educators understand their legal, ethical and organisational responsibilities regarding keeping all children safe from harm.

Northside has a range of policies and procedures that guide our team in service delivery and the day-to-day operations of our services which have been developed following the Australian Children’s Education & Care Quality Authority (ACECQA) National Quality Standard.
