Hello and welcome to the first issue of our new-look News from Northside!

This publication shares some of the work we do at Northside, and in particular highlights the amazing Northside team that does this work in our community.

As CEO, I have the absolute privilege of representing the educators, home support workers, case managers, care coordinators, youth workers, administration teams, and every other role at Northside. I see the professionalism and commitment of the Northside team every day, and I’m really glad that News from Northside will give the wider community a glimpse into their work as well. I have so much respect for the important work the Northside team do every day.

It has been a really challenging time for our community over the last few years, but when I read through the stories in this publication I see so many examples of resilience and strength. Young children and older citizens coming together to learn and share; young people learning about sporting opportunities in their community; learning from the local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community as we work on our Reconciliation Action Plan; and advocacy for important causes in the ACT.

I hope you enjoy this issue of News from Northside, and I am looking forward to sharing more from our team at the end of the year.
